It has the haptics and substantial depth of an encyclopedia and the grace of a beautiful object. The redesign of both print and online presence of KUNSTFORUM International focused on the challenges of a digitalised society while stressing the uniqueness of the renowned magazine-book-hybrid. The new web design keeps only the essence of the old one. It is withdrawn enough to still give all the spotlight to what has always been the biggest strength of Kunstforum International: it’s content.
The newly designed homepage stores over 25,000 texts and 200,000 pictures, thus being an incredibly extensive archive and source of inspiration. A carefully considered set of features makes it explorable — powerful search and filter functionalities, various entry points like teasers, extended article formats, contextualised content recommendations, a modernized database and optimisation for search engines.
